Jokowi Wants To Create BRIN Under BPIP, Rocky Gerung: I Remember Hitler's Project

JAKARTA-INDONESIA, OnlyTheBestChoice – Rumors circulated that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) plans to create a National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), under the Pancasila Ideology Development Board (BPIP).

It made the public’s attention. Even Rocky Gerung commented on Jokowi’s plan to make the BRIN.

Rocky Gerung said that it reminded him of Adolf Hitler, a German dictator who understood the ideology of fascism.

Rocky said, Hitler used to also use research to prove the superiority of the German nation which was indeed his ideological ideals.

“This is if this is the case, I remember hitler’s project,” he said in an interview with Hersubeno Arief at Rocky Gerung Official, Monday (12/4/2021).

“Hitler also made a research body to ensure that the ideology of fascism, the ideology of excellence of the Aryan race, must be proven in the laboratories tuh. That used to result in the U-Gen project, a new gene that is considered nobler, tuh,” he continued.

According to Rocky’s assessment, Jokowi’s policy direction regarding BRIN looks similar to what Hitler did in the past that was political to purify the German nation.

It’s just that Rocky questioned what the Jokowi Government wanted to purify.

“The same is true now, tuh. If Hitler had done that to make sure that what he was doing was politics to purify the German people, that’s it,” he said.

“Now we do not know now what purifying if ideology leads methodology. It can’t be that one research methodology, academic research, requires an ideological paradigm. Everywhere there is freedom to do research and the direction of research is determined by the facts in the laboratory, not the facts in the Political Party,” he continued.

Rocky then suspects that the Jokowi administration’s plan about BRIN is actually related to money.

“Therefore, our only explanation is that there is big money there in the field of research that must be controlled. Now that control is problematic now because he’s controlled by a political party. So there is always a policy bias that we look at from the beginning that must be the terrain of corruption,” he said. [*]
