Valentino Rossi is now looking for a positive result in Portugal

DOHA, Onlythebestchoice – Valentino Rossi doesn’t seem to want to talk about the results of the race in Qatar. Because, during the two races at the Losail Circuit, namely in the Qatar MotoGP and doha series, Valentino Rossi achieved a very bad result.

As in the Qatar series that took place Monday 29 March 2021, Rossi who started the race from fourth place could only finish 12th. Meanwhile, when the Doha GP race just ended Monday (5/4/2021) early in the morning, Rossi finished the race in 16th place.

As a result, Rossi can now only sit 15th in the standings as the 2021 MotoGP driver with four points. Of course the result was really disappointing for Petronas Yamaha, its fans, and of course Rossi himself.

Even so, Rossi didn’t want to protract in grief. He also tried to turn his attention to the next MotoGP 2021 race, which will take place at the Portimao Circuit, Portugal.

The Portuguese race felt Rossi could be the moment for him to rise. Because Portimao Circuit feels like it has a track that is much more suited to his racing style than in Losail.

It was with this origin that Rossi was discouraged despite performing poorly in Qatar. He believes MotoGP 2021 is still very long and his hopes of improving his position in the 2021 MotoGP drivers’ standings are still wide open.

“We had a little problem with the rear grip when using soft tires (when performing at Losail Circuit). We have tried other swingarm and it helped a little bit,” rossi said, visiting from petronas Yamaha SRT official website, Monday (5/4/2021).

“Next there are a lot of tracks in Europe that we know are good grip, so hopefully we can expect better results. We’ll see what happens in Portimao,” added the rider nicknamed The Doctor.

Earlier in the season Rossi had already tasted direct racing at the Portimao Circuit. Unfortunately, in the closing race of the 2020 MotoGP series, Rossi did not achieve a sweet result.

Precisely Rossi could only finish 12th in the 2020 Portuguese MotoGP race. Nevertheless, Rossi remains optimistic that the result in Portugal will be much better than in Qatar. [red/*]
